The service is what killed this review. The food was good. Burgers good, mash potatoes really good, homemade fries good. The older staff was busy and attentive. Our young waitress was lacking in information of the menu, attentiveness, care of customers. More

Such a nice place! Stopped by on our way through Gatesville, and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is so relaxed and yet so cool with so many things to look at. The food was amazing, and I will definitely make my way back specifically for the absolutely amazing fresh cut fries, fried green beans, and bubba bites 😍 Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Coming here was definitely an experience all on it's own. The food was delicious, the service was good the atmosphere was interesting.... The only bad thing I can say it's that the women's bathroom is too dark. There isn't enough light in there. More

Very nice selection of items on the menu. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly. Great place to bring family and friends. They have a separate room for baby showers and similar celebrations. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Restrooms are very clean and well maintained. More

The atmosphere is cute.We were super excited to stop here after driving long long hours. The food was horrible. I have Crohns Disease so I CAN NOT HAVE SPICY food. No where on the menu does it say "Cheese Curds are extra spicy" nor did the waitress say anything about it being spicy, and found out too late. Cheese Curds are NEVER supposed to be ghost peppers. Never supposed to spicy *at all* I couldn't enjoy that. Got Nacho plate, the ground beef was super DRY like it was microwaved too long, a sad plate, taco bell has better nachos. The chicken Fried steak plate was inedible. We sent both plates back and had to leave 100% disappointed. Really wish I could have left a good review, but I genuinely can not.
Sadly, I can not recommend this place, nor will we be back. What a shame.

Driving up, the exterior is well maintained and the "horse and buggy" provide a rustic charm. Walking in, the rustic charm continues in a pleasing manner. We were seated right away and drink orders taken. We were a large group and the service never failed to be quick. The menu options were all so enticing, I had a hard time choosing. Our waitress was amazing; she was spot-on all the way. My only negative was that the chicken breast was overcooked. The rest of the meal was tasty and satisfying.

Very rustic and eclectic, the food was typical American fare, like fried mozzarella sticks, fries with cheese and bacon for appetizers. For the entree we got a foot long corn dog and chicken stuffed with jalapenos and wrapped in bacon. The food tasted really good. The memorabilia on the walls was incredible, lots of pictures of Elvis where we sat.
If you want a break from a chain restaurant, this has character and entertainment for days!

Food isn't bad and prices are not bad for the area. Service was ok, quick when empty and pretty frequent when busy. Good balance for service. Atmosphere is pretty normal for the area. Ranch-esque style, but one thing that sets it apart is the Elvis memorabilia throughout the area. Statues, jerseys, even some of the food is Elvis inspired, though I haven't tried any of it yet. The chicken fried steak and eggs is amazing and cooked to specifications. Definitely recommend for any passers-by. Cleanliness excels. Overall a good time.

Went for dinner: I got the Philly. It was over-cooked, dry and tasteless. I asked for a side of mayo for it (didn't help). The steak was that thin sliced steak-um type of meat (not worth the $8.99). My husband got the Chicken Strips, they … More

Very disappointed. Used to be a great place to eat but my friends Chicken Fried Steak was too tough to chew. And my open faced chili burger shows up with very little chili, no onions and jalapeños, and chips instead of fries. It was about 1:30, not busy and waitresses and cook weren’t taking care of business.

Stumbled upon this place headed back home to Dallas from Florence, TX. Best waitress ever - Angelia! She was friendly, fun, and sold the heck outta the menu items convincing us that the fried oreos were a must and she was not wrong. I had the hamburger steak, and it was hands down the best brown gravy I have ever had. Will find a reason to come back soon!

This place was a random stop on a road trip back home, and it was amazing! The food is solid, it's spacious, has lots of TVs to watch the game, and
The people are friendly and our waitress Angelia was amazing!
We thought the food would be decent country food, but Angelia walked us through the best options and they exceeded our expectations. I wouldn't have gotten the fried Oreos if it wasn't for her, and she was a positive joy to have as a server. And the Oreos are awesome. Much better than the ones at the state fair.
Definitely coming back here on any trip nearby.
